Metal Pickup Rings Vs Plastic

I dont have a labret ring but a few of my friends and my brother does the metal ring would be better being as my brothers plastic one the skin grew around it.

All you re doing with a pickup ring is adding more parts that could fail. A pickup mounting technique needs to do 2 things. I was thinking about replacing it with a metal one. But the metal one also is very hard on your teeth my suggestion is that if you have had your peircing for a long time then use a plastic one but change often.
